About the webinar

Want to electrify your fleet, but don't have the necessary power to charge it?

Most operators assume that a grid upgrade is the only solution, but that’s costly and can take up to a decade.

In this webinar, you'll learn:

  • What to consider when building/assessing your fleet electrification strategy

  • How battery storage can increase on-site power, reduce peak energy costs and make better use of solar

  • How to build a business case for battery storage as part of your plan

You’ll also hear real-world examples of operators using battery storage and smart energy management to optimise charging and lower costs.

We'll finish with a short Q&A.

How we work with transport operators

We provide complete energy solutions: in-house developed EMS software and modular battery systems tailored to your charging needs. We map out what you need, how you can scale up and what that means to your bottom line. Keep your fleet and business moving with a future-proof charging infrastructure.

Working with us means:

  • More control over energy generation: Make better use of your own solar power. Charge when supply is high, avoid peak costs and maximise your returns.
  • Power, even without the grid: Your growth doesn't have to wait for the grid operator. We ensure you can charge faster, within the limits of your existing grid connection.
  • Charge, always: Your energy demand remains predictable and manageable. Our energy solution delivers the power needed to keep your fleet running, even when the grid is full.
  • Energy that’s profitable: Your EMS thinks ahead. By charging smartly and feeding back to the grid at the right time, you maximise benefits.

A truck operator turns grid congestion into a business model

BEST Trucks sought iwell's advice to support the growing demand for electric truck charging across two sites. Both had different grid connections, energy assets and power requirements. Rather than relying on costly grid upgrades, iwell built a future-ready “microgrid” using battery storage and an Energy Management System (EMS). The solution intelligently coordinates energy from the grid, solar panels, batteries and chargers, enabling high-power truck charging while keeping overall grid demand within existing contractual limits.

The project is more than reliable charging. Batteries maximise the use of on-site solar generation, while unused capacity is traded on energy markets to create additional revenue and help stabilise the grid. Public charging infrastructure also enables surrounding transport companies to charge their vehicles, expanding regional EV infrastructure. The result is a scalable, future-proof energy system that demonstrates how fleet electrification can move forward despite grid congestion.
